Ganja worth Rs 2.12 crore seized in Kothagudem, two arrested
Kothagudem police seized 424.950 kg of ganja worth Rs.2.12 crore during vehicle checks at Venkatya thanda in Tekulapally mandal. Two accused were arrested, while two others are absconding. The contraband was being smuggled from Odisha to Rajasthan via Bhadrachalam

Kothagudem: Police seized ganja weighing about 424.950 kg and arrested two persons at Venkatya thanda in Tekulapally mandal in the district.
Speaking to the media at Tekulapally police station on Friday, Yellandu DSP Chandra Bhanu said that on Thursday evening, CCS and Tekulapally police, during vehicle checks at Venkatya thanda, found the ganja hidden in the cabin and under the seats of a truck.
The seized ganja was valued at Rs 2.12 crore. It was purchased and transported from Odisha to Rajasthan via Bhadrachalam and Paloncha. The accused Prabhulal Gurjar and Shivraj Gurjar were arrested, while two others, Rambabu and Narayana Gurjar, were absconding.
The DSP appreciated Teulapally CI Bathula Satyanarayana, SIs Rajender and Srikanth, CCS CI Ramakanth and SI Praveen for seizing the ganja.
