Peddapalli: Garbage collection vehicles of Municipal Corporation of Ramagundam have come to a grinding halt as the petrol bunk owner refused to supply fuel due to non-clearance of bills by the authorities.

About 12 vehicles including auto trolleys, tractors, earthmovers, and blade tractors were not being operated due to lack of petrol and diesel.

MCR officials usually clear bills to petrol bunk by 20th of every month. But this month, bills have not been cleared so far. Some corporation staff misguided the petrol bunk owner stating that bills would not be cleared since the term of the council was completed, it is learnt.

Panicked over it, the petrol bunk owner refused to fill fuel in garbage vehicles. There are 90 vehicles in the corporation.
