Hyderabad: This year, the Bathukamma song is on entirely different level, with Oscar winner AR Rahman composing music for the song and nationally acclaimed film director Gautham Vasudev Menon shooting the film. The song will be officially released online on October 6.

Bathukamma, the floral festival of Telangana, will commence on the same day.

According to sources, Gautham Vasudev Menon had picturised the song at Bhoodan Pochampally for two days on September 29 and 30. It is likely to be a four-minute video. The news of Oscar winner AR Rahman and ace director Gautham Vasudev Menon working together for the song has gone viral on social media.

BA Raju’s Team, which handles public relations for movies, on Saturday tweeted “A moment of pride for all the Bathukamma festive admirers. Oscar winning musician AR Rahman and filmmaker Gautham Vasudev Menon has worked for the most celebrating Bathukamma song.”
