Gavaskar to give ML Jaisimha lecture in Hyderabad in April

Hyderabad: Legendary opener Sunil Manohar Gavaskar will address the first M.L.Jaisimha lecture that will be held at the Jaisimha Foundation Foundation premises in Sikh Village, Secunderabad, in April. Incidentally, late Jaisimha’s greatest fan was Gavaskar.

This Trust has been started to keep Jaisimha’s legacy alive and make his dream of providing free coaching in all sports to talented young sports persons who cannot afford it. The first initiative will be to provide free coaching to 30 deserving young underprivileged cricketers, 15 boys and 15 girls in the 15 to 19 age group.

The cricketers will initially be from the State of Telangana and will commence once the permission is granted by the Government during this pandemic.

The Jaisimha Trust proposes to have coaching by experts assisted by Trainers and Physiotherapists. It will have Online Webinars, lectures, debates and panel discussions. The Trust will be conducting workshops on leadership, peak performance, umpiring, sports management and provide match opportunities in India and abroad.
