Hyderabad: All students who qualified in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) UG 2021 have to gear up for the online counselling which will commence from January 19.
The counselling will be done for admissions to MBBS, BDS, BSc Nursing (Only for central institutes of nursing) for NEET 15 per cent all India quota, 100 per cent deemed, central universities, ESIC, AFMS, AIIMS, and JIPMER seats for the academic year 2021-22.
Accordingly, the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India has notified a detailed admission counselling schedule. Candidates from Telangana and Andhra Pradesh are eligible to participate against the 15 per cent all India quota seats.
From the academic year 2021-22, the MCC will conduct four rounds of all India quota counselling-AIQ round 1, AIQ round 2, AIQ mop-up round and AIQ stray vacancy round. No AIQ seats will be reverted back to the respective States after the completion of AIQ round 2, the MCC said.
The first round of online counselling will commence with registration and payment of the fee is from January 19 to 24. After registration, candidates have to exercise choices for allotment of the seat and college between January 20 and 24. Verification of internal candidates by the respective universities/institutes is on January 25 and 26.
The allotments of seats will be processed on January 27 and 28 and the first-round results will be declared on January 29. Students have to report to the allotted college between January 30 and February 4.
Registration for the second-round counselling is scheduled from February 9 to 14 and choice filling will be available from February 10 to 14. The seat allotment results will be announced on February 19. Students who got seats should report to the college concerned between February 20 and 26.
Similarly, candidates can register for the mop-up round from March 2 to 7, the choice filling will be available from March 3 to 7 and seats will be allotted on March 12. Candidates have to report to the allotted colleges between March 13 and 19.
According to the MCC, there will be no new registration and fresh choice filling for online stray vacancy round. Choices exercised by candidates in the mop-up round will be considered for the allotment of seats.
The processing of seat allotment in the stray vacancy round is on March 21 and results will be announced on March 22 with reporting to respective colleges is between March 23 to 26. For more details, visit the website https://mcc.nic.in/.
