Hyderabad: The Jaipur Literature Festival is back to its customary home, the pink city of Jaipur, for its 15th edition. The rich programme is set to begin with the calming strains of music in the morning.
The festival, this year, is home to several musical renditions for all music lovers across the country to witness some gems of the industry perform.
Here are a few artistes set to perform at the Jaipur Literature Festival this year:
Ujwal Nagar – Hindustani classical vocalist from Delhi
Aastha Goswami – Indian classical singer and composer
The Aahvaan Project – Storytelling through music
Sombala Kumar – Hindustani classical vocalist from Dagar Gharana
Priya Kanugo – Indian classical singer
Apart from musical mornings, the much-loved literary festival offers a mesmerising Heritage Evening on March 13 at Ganesh Pol, Amer Fort. The special event will feature Kalapini Komkali, a well-trained and widely recognised classical vocalist of the younger generation, and daughter and disciple of the legendary Pandit Kumar Gandharva.
In addition, the majestic evening at Amer Fort will feature a soul-stirring performance by leading dancer and choreographer in the Indian classical dance form of Kathak, Aditi Mangaldas, a former student of Kathak maestro, late Pandit Birju Maharaj.
The festival will end with a fashion show presented by the students of ARCH School of Design, Jaipur. The yearly festival will be held in the pink city from March 5 to 14.
