Hyderabad: Actor Genelia Deshmukh has been a heartthrob of Telugu audiences after her innocent performance in the film ‘Bommarillu’. Well, now, it is said that the actor is said to make an appearance in a Telugu film after a very long gap.

The actor will be seen playing an important role in Karnataka’s former minister and industrialist Gali Janardhan Reddy’s son Kireeti’s debut film. The Telugu project, bankrolled by Vaaraahi Chalana Chitram, was launched in Bengaluru in the presence of director SS Rajamouli.

Directed by Radha Krishna, the yet-to-be-titled Telugu-Kannada film is said to be having a lavish budget. ‘Pelli SaanD’ fame Sree Leela has been brought on board to play the female lead and she will romance with Kireeti. Kannada Star Dr Ravichandra V will also be seen in an important role.

However, what role will Genelia play is still unclear. Meanwhile, the actor, who didn’t appear in any major flicks after her wedding to Bollywood actor Riteish Deshmukh, is best known for acting in Telugu films like ‘Ready’, ‘Dhee’, ‘Mr Medhavi’, ‘Boys’, ‘Orange’ and ‘Bommarillu’. She also acted in Hindi films like ‘Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na’, ‘Masti’, ‘Mere Baap Pehle Aap’, ‘Chance Pe Dance’, ‘Force’ and ‘Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya’.
