Hyderabad: A delegation from the German Bundestag’s Committee on Internal Affairs and Sports, led by Member of Parliament Josef Oster, on Saturday held discussions with Dasoju Sravan Kumar, BRS leader and MLC. The meeting focused on the historic Telangana Agitation movement, spearheaded by BRS president and former Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao, which culminated in the formation of Telangana in 2014.
Participants highlighted Telangana’s post-Statehood growth across sectors such as IT, pharmaceuticals, industry and infrastructure. Key topics included democratic principles, federal structures in India, internal governance mechanisms, the role of the judiciary, industrial development, Hyderabad’s cultural heritage and strengthening Indo-German bilateral relations.
