Next time an occasion comes up, save all that trouble and call the trusty lass Sneha Malu who is a dab hand with creating unique gift hampers that come wrapped with love, affection and lots of goodies to boot. Owner of the brand, The Crafty Bay, the talented girl has a keen sense for what kind of gift hampers can make someone’s day.
Sneha initially helped out with her family hotel business after completing her Masters in Finance in 2018, but soon shifted sights to something more creative and that’s how The Crafty Bay was born. Doing this fulltime since the past two-and-a-half years, Sneha says she usually asks client what their budget is before coming up with the concept. “From concept to sourcing the products for the hamper, everything is done by me.
I do single and bulk orders. It takes 3-4 days to get everything ready if it’s a single order,” says Sneha. A quick look at her Instagram page reveals a bright spread of hampers for birthdays, anniversaries, bridal showers, baby showers and festivals like Diwali, Rakhi, Holi which have made their way around the country and abroad. Filled with chocolates, sweets, bath sets, perfumes, printed mugs, bottles and vanity cases for V-day filled with cosmetics and plushies; the hampers are as cute and fancy as they get.
“I feel proud to have gifted more than 1,000 personal orders in the past year. My measure of success is my fixed clientele and the heartfelt joy they get when I help make their special occasions memorable,” adds Sneha who works out of her home. She is a one-man army doing everything from designing, material procurement, market research, accounts, digital marketing, packaging and delivering. “I hope to open my own studio and get my website running soon.” Prices for hampers begin from Rs 1,000 onwards.
