Get diesel delivered at doorstep

Mobile dispensing unit catering to needs of real estate, health, hospitality clients

Hyderabad: Riding the door delivery wave, city-based Kumar Auto Care is now bringing diesel at the doorsteps of the customers. It recently has added a double-dispensing mobile fuel pump. The truck-mounted mobile fuel dispensing unit will cater to the diesel needs of real estate, health and hospitality segments, which buy diesel in bulk.

“Diesel is used extensively by real estate machinery. It is not practical for getting the machinery to the fuel stations for diesel. The other option is to fill diesel in barrels and then refill the equipment at the site. However, this is fraught with spillages and risks. We now go the site and offer diesel,” said Kunal Kumar Sonthalia, managing partner, Kumar Auto Care, which has a filling station near Secunderabad.

Real estate equipment, it is also supplying diesel to hospital and hospitality clients and other corporate clients, which use high power generators. “There is no difference in the pricing and the clients get an electronic bill,” he said adding that it is now catering to locations that are with in 25-30 km distance. The truck is equipped with fire extinguishers.

It is open to do even longer distances if the diesel order is for 5,000 litre or more. It spent about Rs 29 lakh for the mobile diesel dispenser. “We have the required license to deliver diesel at customers’ doorsteps. We are cutting down dead miles for customers,” he said adding that it will soon have an app for taking orders. The fuel delivery is dependent on distance and availability of truck, said Sonthalia, who has been operating fuel station from 2016.

Doorstep diesel delivery is a cost-effective solution for clients. It will benefit the agricultural sector, hospitals, housing societies, heavy machinery facilities and mobile towers, he said.

Given the Covid-19 pandemic running through the second wave, it will be a win-win offer for the consumers as they can maintain social distancing norms through contact-less delivery by avoiding long queues at fuel filling stations.
