Ghatkesar SHO suspended over corruption allegations

Ghatkesar SHO M Balaswamy has been suspended following an inquiry into alleged corruption and interference in two investigations. The inspector allegedly accepted bribes in a Kondapur land dispute and a young woman’s suicide case, sources said.

Hyderabad: Ghatkesar Station House Officer M Balaswamy has been placed under suspension following an inquiry into allegations of corruption and interference in civil disputes.

According to information available, the inspector allegedly accepted bribes to manipulate the investigation into a land dispute in Kondapur and to divert the probe into a young woman’s suicide case.

Senior police officials conducted an inquiry into the allegations and found them to be substantiated. As per sources, following the inquiry, Malkajgiri Police Commissioner B Sumathi ordered his suspension.
