GHMC Commissioner issues show-cause notices to absent sector officers

GHMC Commissioner RV Karnan has issued show-cause notices to 12 sector officers absent from a poll training programme for the Jubilee Hills by-election. Suspension is recommended for non-attendees, while details of three absent sector police officers will be forwarded to the police

Hyderabad: GHMC Commissioner RV Karnan has ordered the issuance of show-cause notices to 12 sector officers who were absent from a poll training programme at GHMC head office on Monday, in preparation for the Jubilee Hills by-election.

The training session for sector officers of the Jubilee Hills constituency saw 35 out of 47 sector officers and 35 out of 38 sector police officers in attendance. The Commissioner, also serving as district election officer, directed officials to issue notices to the 12 absent sector officers and recommended suspension for those failing to attend the rescheduled training.

Information regarding the three absent sector police officers is to be communicated to the respective Commissioner of Police, according to an official release.
