GHMC Commissioner RV Karnan inspects Shilpa Layout flyover, directs officials to expedite beautification works
GHMC Commissioner RV Karnan has directed speedy completion of the beautification works on the Rs. 178 crore Shilpa Layout Phase-2 flyover. He also inspected nearby flyovers and waste-filled areas, instructing that pending development and drainage works be completed quickly

Hyderabad: Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) Commissioner RV Karnan has directed officials to expedite the beautification works of the Shilpa Layout Phase-2 flyover, which is nearing completion and will soon be opened to traffic.
The Commissioner inspected the flyover on Tuesday, which has been constructed from the Outer Ring Road (ORR) to Gachibowli at a cost of Rs. 178 crore. With civil works completed, he instructed officials to finish the remaining beautification and greenery tasks immediately.
Karnan also directed engineering officials to install transfer bars (rumble strips) as per Indian Roads Congress (IRC) guidelines.
Further, he asked officials to inspect the Gachibowli and Hafizpet flyovers and prepare proposals for additional development works.
Accompanied by Project Chief Engineer Bhaskar Reddy, Deputy Executive Engineer Harish, Zonal Superintending Engineer Shankar Nayak, and others, Karnan also inspected several areas in Hafizpet. He instructed officials to clear waste accumulated under the Hafizpet flyover and make the space suitable for sporting activities. He also reviewed the Eerla Cheruvu drainage diversion project and directed officials to complete pending works.
