GHMC conducts special e-waste collection drive across Hyderabad
The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) conducted a special e-waste collection drive across all circle offices to promote safe disposal of electronic waste. Residents deposited old devices while officials raised awareness on environmental and health impacts of improper e-waste handling.

Hyderabad: To encourage the safe disposal and recycling of electronic waste, a special e-waste collection drive was conducted in all circle offices of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) on Saturday.
Participating in the drive, several citizens deposited unused electronic items such as mobiles, chargers, batteries, wires and computer accessories at the GHMC Circle offices. The officials had made arrangements by opening counters on the premises of circle offices to receive the items.
The initiative aimed to create awareness about the harmful effects of improper e-waste disposal on the environment and public health, according to a press release. On this occasion, officials guided residents on proper segregation and eco-friendly disposal methods, it said.
