GHMC development sidetracked, KCR will bring it back on rails: Talasani
BRS MLA Talasani Srinivas Yadav accused the Congress government of betraying people in GHMC limits by failing to deliver on promises and reducing BC representation in gram panchayat polls. Addressing party functionaries, he assured workers that BRS would restore development and reward loyalty.
Hyderabad: Voicing concern over the huge setback suffered on the development front in GHMC limits after the Congress came to power, BRS MLA and former Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav alleged on Thursday the Revanth Reddy government had betrayed the people by making false promises. The fate of the six guarantees, which helped it to deceive people, caused anguish among all sections.
Addressing a meeting of the party GHMC level functionaries at Telangana Bhavan, he accused the ruling party of cheating Backward Classes by promising 42 per cent reservation. The BCs ended up with little over 17 per cent seats in gram panchayat elections.
Assuring loyal party workers of all possible measures to put the development process back on track, the Sanathnagar MLA declared that BRS will return to power and give due recognition and positions to those who stood by the party during tough times and continue to work dedicatedly.
Talasani Srinivas Yadav unveiled the official poster for ‘Deeksha Diwas’ and announced that the day will be celebrated in Telangana Bhavan to commemorate K Chandrashekhar Rao’s historic fast-unto-death.
A special video explaining the background of the Telangana movement and details of K. Chandrashekhar Rao‘s indefinite hunger strike will be screened during the event.
BRS Working President KT Rama Rao, former ministers, MLAs, MLCs, and senior leaders will attend the programme. All constituency in-charges within GHMC limits, former corporation chairpersons, corporators, former corporators, division presidents, Cantonment Board former members, and party activists have been urged to participate in large numbers to make the event a grand success.
