Hyderabad: The body of a GHMC employee was found hanging in his house in Vijayanagar colony under the Humayunnagar police station limits here on Tuesday night.

According to the police, the man Syed Naseer (30) lived along with his family at Vijayanagar colony and worked with the GHMC. On Tuesday evening, he returned from work and went inside his room. A little later, when his mother opened the door of the room to call him for dinner, she found him hanging.

The Humayunnagar police shifted the body to Osmania General Hospital mortuary for autopsy. In a suicide note found in the room, purportedly written by Naseer, he apologised to his wife and daughter for ending his life, though no other reasons were given.

Family members told the police that Naseer had sent his wife to her parents a few months ago and had isolated himself apart from consulting a psychologist over some personal issues.

The police have registered a case and investigation is on.
