GHMC expedites road and drainage repairs ahead of Ganesh immersion festivities

Ahead of the centralised Ganesh idol immersion in Hyderabad, the GHMC has accelerated road and drainage repair works. Of the 14,050 potholes identified, over 11,000 have been repaired, along with catch pits and other civic infrastructure.

Hyderabad: With the centralised Ganesh idols immersion just a day away, the GHMC has expedited the works including pothole filling, catch pit repairs, road patching, cover replacements, and central median restorations in the state capital.

As of September 4, a total of 14,050 potholes were identified, of which 11,442 were repaired. In addition to this, 574 catch pits were also repaired, 328 covers replaced, and 12 central medians restored, a press release from GHMC said.
