Hyderabad: The innovative ‘Every Sunday 10 minutes at 10 am’ programme was held in parts of the city by Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC).
Under the programme, stagnant water inside the houses and surroundings were emptied as they could turn into mosquito breeding spots. Among many places in the city, the programme was also held at Dr Bhoomanna Galli in Barkatpura, Suraram in Gajularamaram circle, Macha Bolarum in Alwal circle and Moosapet by GHMC entomology wing.
The GHMC staffers explained to people the need to empty stagnant water in order to curb malaria and dengue.
