Hyderabad: The GHMC has initiated a special enforcement drive to identify and remove unauthorised advertisement elements within its jurisdiction. As part of the ongoing drive, several illegal hoardings, banners and other unauthorised advertisement structures have already been dismantled.
Following the delimitation and merger of several municipalities into the GHMC, a significant number of unauthorised and illegal advertisement structures have been identified at various locations across the city, GHMC Commissioner R V Karnan said on Saturday.
The enforcement action would be carried out in a phased and sustained manner across all GHMC limits to ensure urban orderliness, road safety and strict compliance with the prescribed advertisement norms, he said.
To strengthen the enforcement mechanism, the GHMC is also in the process of constituting a dedicated enforcement team exclusively to monitor, regulate and take action against unauthorised advertisements.
