Hyderabad: A special vaccination drive to make sure all eligible people are vaccinated in the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) limits began here on Monday.
A total of 150 mobile vaccination teams were pressed into service in the GHMC limits. Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar also inspected the vaccination centre located in CBI Colony, Khairatabad.
“I am confident that in 15 days, a dose of vaccine will be administered to all eligible persons in the GHMC limits post which similar programmes will be taken up in other areas of Telangana,” he said.
“This is a mopup drive. There are 4,846 colonies and slums in GHMC limits. A schedule to visit all these localities has been prepared by the GHMC Commissioner,” he said, adding that based on the list, which has details of people who are yet to be administered the vaccine, the drive would continue in the city.
