Hyderabad: Seeking to strengthen sanitation services and ensure quick grievance redressal, the GHMC has launched a new WhatsApp service.

Citizens can now raise issues such as garbage on roads, overflowing bins, uncleared waste, choked nalas requiring desilting, and green waste removal by sending a complaint to WhatsApp number 8125966586.

A press release on Sunday said the complainant has to send a photo along with the location of the issue to the number. Once the complaint is received, the sanitation teams concerned will be alerted to address the issue at the earliest.

The WhatsApp-based system aims to provide a quick, simple, and accessible platform for citizens to participate in maintaining cleanliness across the city. To create awareness among citizens, GHMC also released a short awareness video demonstrating how to report sanitation issues using WhatsApp.
