GHMC merger: special council meeting to be held on Tuesday
The GHMC will hold a special council meeting on Tuesday to seek corporators’ views on the newly formed 300 divisions. Suggestions and objections from the public have been received since the notification was issued by the MA&UD on December 9
Hyderabad: The GHMC commissioner, RV Karnan, will convene a special council meeting on Tuesday at the GHMC head office. The meeting aims to gather the views and suggestions of corporators on the newly formed 300 GHMC divisions.
On December 9, the MA&UD issued orders and notified 300 GHMC wards through an official notification. The GHMC asked interested citizens to submit their suggestions and objections from the date of the notification.
The GHMC began accepting suggestions and objections at all GHMC zonal offices, circle offices, the proposed 27 ULBs and the GHMC head office. According to an official GHMC release, on December 10, a total of 40 suggestions and objections were received. Subsequently, on December 11, 280 were received; on December 12, 373; on December 13, 408; and on December 14, 227 were received.
