GHMC open two more Indiramma canteens
GHMC has opened two new Indiramma canteens at NTPC, Kavadiguda and Bagh Lingampally to provide affordable meals to the urban poor. Operated by the Hare Krishna Movement Charitable Foundation, the canteens serve breakfast and lunch at just Rs 5 each to poor people.

Hyderabad: To provide breakfast and lunch to the poor people at a cheaper cost, the GHMC on Friday opened two more Indiramma canteens at NTPC, Kavadiguda and Bagh Lingampally.
“These canteens are operated by Hare Krishna Movement (HKM) Charitable Foundation and provide hygienic, subsidised meals to poor, daily-wage labourers, auto drivers, small vendors, migrants and unemployed youth,” according to an official release.
Beneficiaries pay Rs 5 for breakfast and Rs 5 for lunch (meal). These canteens are open at 7 am and serve breakfast up to 9.30 am and lunch from 12 noon to 2 pm, it said.
