GHMC polls: Candidates can file multiple nominations

If any contesting candidate files nominations for more than one ward in the ensuing GHMC elections, he or she has to withdraw their nomination to all wards except one ward of their choice before 3 pm on Sunday.

Hyderabad: In the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC), there is a provision for candidates to file nominations for more than one ward but he or she will have to withdraw the nominations to all wards except one ward of their choice before the date and time fixed for withdrawal of candidature. In case they fail to withdraw the other nominations, all the nominations become invalid and they will not be allowed to contest from any ward.

If any contesting candidate files nominations for more than one ward in the ensuing GHMC elections, he or she has to withdraw their nomination to all wards except one ward of their choice before 3 pm on Sunday, the date fixed for withdrawal of candidature, according to SEC officials.
