GHMC polls: Candidates make most of Friday congregation

Hyderabad: Leaders of various political parties made the most of the gatherings at the mosques for Friday prayers and met people asking them to vote in favour of their party candidates.
At Bowenpally, Telangana State Minorities Finance Corporation Chairman Syed Akbar Hussain, along with local TRS party workers and contestant M Narsimha Yadav, met people at Jamia Masjid Bowenpally.
He requested them to cast their vote in favour of the TRS party candidate and explained them about various welfare schemes extended to the minority communities by the party over the past six years. Similarly, other leaders visited various mosques in Erragadda, Sanathnagar and other areas of the city and met the people.
At Mehdipatnam, AIMIM candidate Majid Hussain Meraj attended prayers at the Masjid e-Siddiqua at Mehdipatnam and interacted with the public. He appealed to the voters to cast their vote in his favour and strengthen the AIMIM party. Reports of AIMIM candidates attending Friday prayers at different mosques in their divisions came in from different areas of the city.
