Rangareddy: The GHMC authorities locked the Sri Chaitanya School building as the building lacked adequate parking space and as it had no cellar.
Since the SA-1 examinations for all the classes have commenced on Friday, the management conducted the examinations for their students online for the classes upto 9th while the 10th classes studnts were taken to another branch located in Chandanagar.
The GHMC authorities seized the building last Monday as the management reportedly failed to respond to the repeated notices on construction violations under section 461-A of GHMC Act 1955. Since then, the management of Sri Chaitanya Sherlingampally branch, which had nearly 1,400 strength, was partially conducting classes online.
The parents of students have been visiting the school every day and arguing with the management. However, the management had no clue when the school would reopen. The principal says that the management was talking to officials to sort out the issue.
Worried over the future of their children, the parents urged the officials to allow the school to run for at least for this academic year or until the management finds a suitable building to run the school, considering the future of students. Interestingly, the school has been run in the same building for the last 9 years or so.
