GHMC serves 66,610 meals to needy on Monday
On Monday, 19,020 meals were served at 137 permanent Annapurna canteens, 15,300 meals were served at 113 temporary Annapurna centers and 32,290 packed meals were sent to the needy
Hyderabad: The number of free meals served through the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation’s Annapurna canteens are increasing with every passing day.
On Monday, 66,610 meals were served compared to 65,270 on Sunday. On Monday, 19,020 meals were served at 137 permanent Annapurna canteens, 15,300 meals were served at 113 temporary Annapurna centers and 32,290 packed meals were sent to the needy.
Amid the lockdown, these hot and hygienic meals are a blessing for daily wage workers, hawkers and people living in shelter homes.
