Hyderabad: Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) officials on Friday served a notice to a popular supermarket located in Kukatpally and sent samples from the store for testing.

The action was initiated following a complaint lodged at Kukatpally police station. The complainant mentioned that he was hospitalised after consuming ‘lassi’ purchased from the supermarket without realising that it was past expiry date.

The GHMC officials from Moosapet circle said after Friday’s inspection, a notice was served and samples of the products have been sent for testing.
