GHMC to hold summer coaching camps in 44 sports across Hyderabad

The GHMC has announced summer coaching camps for children aged 6 to 16 years, scheduled from April 25 to May 31. Covering 44 sports and games across 752 centres, the initiative aims to encourage youth participation in athletics and competitive activities.

Hyderabad: The GHMC is conducting summer coaching camps from April 25 to May 31 in 44 sports/games at 752 centers for school-going children in the age group of 6 to 16 years, from 6 am to 8 am.

In a press release, the GHMC said students and the public can obtain membership in 44 sports and games through the GHMC online portal sports.ghmc.gov.in by paying the applicable membership charges.


The major sports and games include athletics, archery, ball badminton, basketball, badminton, baseball, boxing, cricket, chess, cycling, football, gymnastics, hockey, karate, kabaddi, kho kho, roller skating, swimming, table tennis, wrestling Indian, wrestling Roman, kick boxing and carroms.

As part of the summer coaching camp, GHMC will conduct zone-wise sports quiz between May 5 and 11 and tournaments at camp and zone levels in 16 games between May 18 and 23, it said.
