Patna: Union Minister Giriraj Singh on Sunday launched a sharp attack on the Opposition, alleging that attempts were made to create unrest in the country through foreign funding and money power. He claimed that several details regarding the alleged conspiracy would soon come to light.

Speaking to IANS, Giriraj Singh said, “If the Opposition’s thinking is limited only to victory and defeat, then may God save us. My concern is for the country and its youth. Someone sitting in America was involved, and now many secrets are going to come out — who was providing the money, where it was being channelled, and what was happening at Jantar Mantar. These people wanted to use money power to create chaos and destroy the country.”

Praising Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, Singh said the government acted with foresight and prioritised the interests of students during the crisis.

“The Prime Minister, through his wisdom and foresight, handled the situation because he is genuinely concerned about the future of the youth. Within a month, examinations for around 22 lakh students were conducted. Their academic year was not wasted, the results were declared, and the admission process also began. At a time when some leaders were abroad on foreign visits, the Prime Minister remained focused on the concerns of students,” he said.

The Union Minister further said that Dharmendra Pradhan’s implementation of the National Education Policy will be remembered for generations.

West Bengal Minister Dilip Ghosh said, “Some are calling it Rahul Gandhi’s victory, while others are claiming credit. They can settle those claims among themselves. The government made every possible effort to resolve the issue through dialogue with the protesters, but their intentions were different. Now, normalcy is being restored. The Prime Minister felt that Dharmendra Pradhan should step down and must have conveyed that to him. The government wants to carry everyone along on the path of development and resolve every issue through dialogue. That is the direction in which it is working.”

Bihar Minister Ram Kripal Yadav also alleged that the controversy surrounding the students was part of a larger conspiracy.

“I have been saying from the beginning that our students became victims of a conspiracy, possibly even a terrorist plot. There were infiltrators involved. The Delhi Police have revealed that the social media connection was linked to Pakistan. It is extremely unfortunate. This was a major conspiracy aimed at weakening the country, creating divisions among people and disturbing peace and harmony,” Yadav said.
