Girl dies of snake bite as common krait bites mother, her daughter in Medak

An eight-year-old girl died and her 31-year-old mother was left in critical condition after a common krait entered their house and bit them while they were asleep at Mallupally village in Medak district. The woman is undergoing treatment at a hospital

Medak: A girl died and her mother’s condition turned critical after a common krait bit them at Mallupally village in Chinna Shankarampet mandal on Monday morning.

While the mother and daughter were asleep on Sunday night, the venomous snake sneaked into the house and bit the duo.

The girl, Harika (8), died in her sleep, while her mother, Lavanya (31), was rushed to a hospital. Lavanya’s condition is also said to be critical.
