Mancherial: A girl sustained injuries after accidentally falling from the stairs of a private junior college building in Mancherial on Tuesday.
Police said Kothapelli Shirisha, a second-year Intermediate BiPC student, suffered injuries to her hands and legs after slipping on the staircase. She was immediately shifted to a hospital in the town, and her condition is said to be stable. Shirisha hails from Kotthur village in Luxettipet mandal.
Following the incident, police visited the college and initiated an inquiry. Preliminary findings suggest that the absence of protective grills on the staircase may have contributed to the accident. A case has been registered against the college management, and investigation is underway.
