Hyderabad: Girls outshine boys in the intermediate public exams results that were announced here on Tuesday. The results have been made available on the website https://tgbie.cgg.gov.in.
As many as 2,06,161 girls appeared for the second year regular exams and 77.73 per cent passed, while boys registered a pass percentage of 64.60 out of 1,93,782 who took the same exams. Similarly, 73.8 per cent of girls and 59.74 per cent of boys cleared the first year regular exams.
In the results declared by Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka here on Tuesday, a pass percentage of 71.37 was recorded by 3,99,943 second year regular students who took the second year exams. In the case of first year exams, 66.89 per cent of passes were registered by 4,39,302 regular students.
Overall, a total of 508582 second year intermediate students, including regular general and vocational, and private candidates, appeared for second year exams, and 333908 passed, translating pass percentage of 65.65. Similarly, 65.96 per cent out of 488430 first year intermediate students, including regular general and vocational, and private candidates, were declared pass.
Telangana Board of Intermediate Education Secretary S Krishna Aditya said intermediate public advanced supplementary exams would be conducted from May 22, while practical exams were scheduled from June 3 to 6. Students can pay the exam fee for the supplementary exams at their respective colleges between April 23 and 30.
