Hyderabad: Girls appearing for the Telangana Engineering, Agriculture and Pharmacy Common Entrance Test (TG EAPCET) 2026 commencing May 4 need not travel far as they will be allotted centres nearer to their homes. This is to ensure convenience and safety of girls.
“Girls will be provided a location benefit and they will be assigned centres available nearer to their homes/addresses mentioned in the application. They will not be allotted centres far away like city outskirts or other districts,” Dr K Vijaya Kumar Reddy, Convener, TG EAPCET 2026, told ‘Telangana Today’.
Registrations on the website https://eapcet.tgche.ac.in will be open from February 19 to April 4. The registration fee for E & AP each is Rs 900 (Rs 500 for SC, ST and PH candidates). Candidates wishing to appear for both the E & AP have to pay Rs 1,800 (Rs 1,000 for SC, ST and PH candidates).
Addressing a press conference here on Tuesday, Dr Reddy said this time the website has been made smartphone compatible.
“Some rural students are facing inconvenience as they approach internet centres to apply for the TG EAPCET. So, this time the website is made mobile compatible, allowing candidates to also register via their smartphones,” he said.
The entrance test for Agriculture and Pharmacy stream will be conducted on May 4 and 5, while the Engineering entrance exam is scheduled for May 9, 10 and 11.
