GITAM alumnus Trilok Kothapalli represents India at 2026 C2C4C Asia Pacific Ride

GITAM alumnus Trilok Kothapalli is representing India in the 2026 C2C4C Asia Pacific Ride, a 1,800-km cancer-focused cycling relay in Japan. He will cycle from Ueda in Nagano to Gifu and has raised Rs 1 lakh for cancer research and care.

Sangareddy: GITAM alumnus Trilok Kothapalli is representing India at the 2026 C2C4C (Continent 2 Continent 4 Cancer) Asia Pacific Ride, an international cancer-focused cycling initiative led by Bristol Myers Squibb, with the support of the union for International Cancer Control (UICC).

The 15-day, nearly 1,800-kilometre cycling relay brought together more than 55 riders from six countriesAustralia, China, India, Japan, Singapore and the United States—across five teams, cycling through Japan from October 6 to 20.Trilok will be part of Team 3, cycling from Ueda, Nagano to Gifu from October 12–14.


A graduate of GITAM and the Kautilya School of Public Policy, Trilok completed his B Tech in Computer Science Engineering before pursuing a Master’s in Public Policy. He is working with Bristol Myers Squibb in Hyderabad.

Alongside his professional career, he has developed a passion for endurance sport, progressing from his first running experiences to long-distance running and cycling challenges.Sharing his thoughts on his passion, Trilok said that the ride is not about the kilometres he cycles, but what those kilometres can stand for. Sharing his own experiences, he said that cancer has touched his own family, and he has witnessed the uncertainty, resilience and hope that patients and their families carry.

“I wanted to use endurance sport to contribute to a cause much larger than myself,” said Trilok.As part of his participation, Trilok undertook an individual fundraising commitment of Rs one lakh, which he has successfully achieved. The Indian C2C4C rider team has collectively raised nearly Rs 12 lakh, with funds supporting Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai, for cancer research and patient care.
