GITAM signs MoU with Indian Army for free seats, tech tie-up

GITAM University, Hyderabad signed an MoU with the Indian Army to offer free seats to children of army personnel and promote collaboration in defence-related research. Areas include UAVs, materials tech, and AI-ML. Experts will be exchanged for joint studies

Sangareddy: GITAM University, Hyderabad signed an MoU with the Indian Army to provide free seats to children of army personnel and for technical collaboration in the form of exchange of experts and collaborative research in specific areas of defence electronics, materials technology, UAVs, AI-ML, and others.

The MoU was signed by Brigadier TM Sinha on behalf of the Indian Army and Pro Vice-Chancellor Prof DS Rao on Thursday.


Speaking on the occasion, Prof Rao said the university wanted to improve the standards of technical education through collaboration and hoped students and faculty would take advantage of the MoU.

Brigadier Sinha appreciated GITAM for the gesture and underlined the importance of such collaboration in securing a brighter future for the children of army personnel.
