Sangareddy: With the objective of promoting spirit of scientific quest among the younger generation, the Gandhi Institute of Technology and Management (GITAM), Hyderabad, will hold an all India level essay contest on science and technology. Entries will be accepted from plus two and first-year graduate students from any discipline across the country.
The underlying theme of the competition aims to foster intensive research that improves students understanding of the value of scientific study
The topics for essay writing includes:
Contribution of Science in National Development (Ancient Knowledge of Science, Contribution from India and Expectations from Science for quality life).
Is our environment safe for a better future? (Population, Poverty and Energy Demand)
Impact of Family Values and Culture in Today’s Youth (Indian Culture and Parental role, Self- discipline and How to Make Society Healthy).
Only handwritten entries can be scanned and sent to essaygitam@gitam.in. The best 30 entries will be selected, and their authors will be invited to make an online pitch on February 2022.
The first-prize winner will get a cash reward of Rs 20,000, second prize Rs 15,000, third prize Rs.10,000. The consolation cash award of Rs.2,000/- each will be given to all the semi-finalists. The award presentation ceremony will be on National Science Day.
The last date for sending your entries is February 4. The online presentation is scheduled on February 14 and The prize distribution will be held on February 28.
