Encouraging its students to celebrate festivals in an eco-friendly and more sustainable manner, Gitanjali Devashray organised for its students Raksha Bandhan where students came up with the unique idea of celebrating the festival with plantable rakhis and tied the same to their siblings.
The green rakhis can be used to grow a plant, instead of throwing after the festival. Children made beautifully handcrafted rakhis and decorated them with various grains and pulses. Children completed the activity with lots of enthusiasm and gave their own special touch while designing it. They shared their adorable picture dressed up in traditional attire.
