Glenn Maxwell eager to play in RCB colours

Hyderabad: Glenn Maxwell was over the moon after fetching another hefty price tag at the IPL players’ auctions. The Australian all-rounder, who was released by KL Rahul-led Kings XI Punjab, now called Punjab Kings. The Australian was open in sharing his thoughts of playing at the Virat Kohli-led Royal Challengers Bangalore and the cricketer got his wish when he was bought for Rs 14.25 cr.
He took to his social media account and said, “I am super excited to be part of the RCB team this year. Certainly looking forward to playing under Virat, playing with AB de Villiers as well and a couple of my friends – Adam Zampa, Kane Richardson and my old friend Yuzvendra Chahal. Haven’t played together since days back in Mumbai.”
“It was a pretty incredible auction. I was up all night watching it. Thanks for all the messages. It has been great to see the support and the excitement around the IPL. So looking forward to hitting this IPL full steam ahead and getting RCB their first title this year. Cheers, looking forward to seeing everyone over there,” he added.
