Hyderabad: A large number of State government employees, who have been victims of the GO 317 that displaced employees from their local districts posting, on Wednesday organized a huge protest at Gandhi Bhavan demanding the government resolve their issue.

The protesters, who arrived in from all the districts, besieged the Gandhi Bhavan leading to huge traffic obstruction on the Nampally road. A large number of police personnel have been deployed at Gandhi Bhavan.

According to GO 317 victims, Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy had assured them during Assembly elections that the Congress party would resolve their issue in 48 hours into formation of government in the State. However, the issue remained unresolved even after 10 months into the Congress party coming into power.

The GO 317 victims demanded the government create supernumerary posts and wanted posting in their local districts.
