Hyderabad: BRS working president KT Rama Rao tore into Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy over his latest Delhi visit to gift Telangana’s water rights to his mentor and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu as “Guru Dakshina”.

“The real agenda has been exposed. It is a secret pact. Funds for Rahul Gandhi, waters for Chandrababu Naidu, and just ashes for the people of Telangana,” he said.

Rama Rao came down heavily on Revanth Reddy for misleading people on the Banakacherla project, though it was prominently mentioned in the meeting agenda.

He said, with Revanth Reddy’s actions, people can now clearly differentiate between the anti-Telangana covert agents and those who strove for Telangana’s formation and development.

He asked whether Revanth Reddy became the Chief Minister of Telangana to destroy the State and “prove your loyalty to your Guru Chandrababu Naidu?”

Without mincing words, the BRS working president termed it an attempt to restore erstwhile Andhra Pradesh and end Telangana statehood. He stated that it was a moment of reckoning, and any attempt to illegally give away even a drop of water from Telangana’s share will lead to another movement in the State.
