Hyderabad: The KPHB police on Thursday reportedly arrested Triloknath Guruji, a self-proclaimed godman in Kerala, in connection with the murder case of Vijaya Bhaskar Reddy, a realtor last month. The police had on Saturday arrested four of his associates Mallesh, Sudhakar, Krishnam Raju and another person, who helped the Triloknath in executing the murder.
Based on their confession, special teams from Cyberabad started searching for Triloknath, a native of Nellore and the conspirator in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu.
Vijaya Bhaskar had gone missing since July 20 and a missing case was subsequently booked. Footage from surveillance cameras showed a group of persons kidnapping the realtor in a car. Investigations revealed that the suspects had kidnapped him from a hostel after he became unconscious while eating food laced with sedatives. They later killed him and performed the last rites at Sunnipeta in Kurnool of Andhra Pradesh.
A financial dispute is suspected to be the reason behind the murder.
