Golconda Express halted at Dornakal as tracks submerged in rainwater
Train services and daily life in Mahabubabad district were disrupted due to heavy cyclonic rains on Wednesday. Several trains, including Golconda and Krishna Express, were halted, while authorities declared a holiday for all educational institutions as waterlogging affected low-lying areas.

Mahabubabad: Cyclonic rains have caused disruption in train services in the district on Wednesday.
Golconda Express bound for Hyderabad was halted at Dornakal junction as the tracks at the railway station platform were submerged in rainwater. Krishna Express bound for Tirupati was halted at Mahabubabad as tracks were fully submerged in rainwater. Similarly several goods trains were halted on the Warangal-Khammam route due to rains.
Holiday was declared for all government and private schools in the district. District Education Officer Dakshina Murthy said that a holiday has been declared for all educational institutions in the district today in the wake of heavy rains across the state.
Several low lying areas were inundated and standing crops were damaged because of the rains. With streams overflowing at many places transportation was affected in the district. The district administration told the public to be alert.
