Golconda police solve social media influencer Masood Chandi’s murder, four arrested
Golconda Police have arrested four persons for the murder of social media influencer Masood Chandi in Hyderabad. Investigators said a dispute over his love marriage led to the attack. The accused allegedly assaulted him with weapons before fleeing the scene.
Hyderabad: The Golconda Police have solved the sensational murder of social media influencer Shaik Mahboob alias Masood Chandi (26) and arrested four persons on Monday.
The arrested persons are Shaik Zahed alias Sohail, Zeeshan Nawab alias Jaber, Amer Nawab alias Laddu and Nafeez Sultana.
Police said the suspects had allegedly murdered Masood Chandi at his Kumarwadi residence on June 12 following a dispute linked to his love marriage with Rukshar Begum.
They said Sohail, the victim’s brother-in-law, had opposed the marriage and allegedly conspired with the others to attack him.
According to the police, the suspects entered the victim’s house armed with an iron rod, knife and wooden sticks and assaulted him, causing fatal injuries. The victim’s father was also injured while trying to save his son.
Police seized an iron rod and a knife allegedly used in the offence. All were produced before the court and remanded in judicial custody. Further investigation is on.
