Endowment Minister Konda Surekha, who visited the Vemulawada shrine on Monday, said a GO was issued to prepare the gold thapadam to Yadadri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy with 63 kg gold.
Rajanna Sircilla: Endowment Minister Konda Surekha said a gold veneer (thapadam) would be prepared for Sri Rajarajeshwara Swamy of Vemulawada.
The Minister, who visited the Vemulawada shrine on Monday, said a GO was issued to prepare the gold thapadam to Yadadri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy with 63 kg gold. Similarly, a gold thapadam would be prepared for Rajarajeshwara Swamy, who has 65 kilogram of gold and 5000 kg of silver. While the gold would be utilized to prepare gold veneer to the presiding deity, palanquin and other utsava vigrahams would be made of silver, she said.
