Gold worth Rs 19 lakh seized at RGIA
The passenger who arrived from Dubai by an Air India flight had concealed the gold rolls in two currency counting machines and tried to pass through the security checks at the airport
Hyderabad: Customs officials seized 373.50 gm of gold worth Rs.19.14 lakh being smuggled into the country by a passenger, at RGI Airport on Saturday night.
The passenger who arrived from Dubai by an Air India flight had concealed the gold rolls in two currency counting machines and tried to pass through the security checks at the airport. On suspicion the customs officials opened the currency counting machines and found the gold concealed in the metal rollers. The officials seized the gold.
