Hyderabad: A goldsmith who allegedly stole ornaments from his employer’s workshop was arrested by the Chatrinaka police on Wednesday. The police recovered property worth Rs 3.5 lakh from him.
According to the police, Qurban Mondal (35), a native of West Bengal, worked at a workshop at Uppuguda in Chatrinaka. On September 23, he allegedly stole gold ornaments and a diamond ring from the workshop valued at Rs 3.5 lakh and left for his native place.
The Chatrinaka police registered a case and a police team headed by Inspector Naveen Kumar went to West Bengal and arrested him. The stolen property was also recovered. He was produced before court and remanded in judicial custody.
