Government junior colleges in Telangana to get new full-time lecturers
According to sources, the State government has issued necessary directions asking the authorities concerned to make arrangements for handing over appointment orders to the selected candidates.

Hyderabad: The government junior colleges in the State will soon get new and permanent lecturers. As the process of filling up of junior lecturer posts is almost coming to an end, to be appointed lecturers are likely to be handed over their appointment letters on November 8.
According to sources, the State government has issued necessary directions asking the authorities concerned to make arrangements for handing over appointment orders to the selected candidates.
Under the previous BRS government regime, the Telangana Public Service Commission (TGPSC) had issued a notification for recruitment to 1,392 junior lecturer posts in the government junior colleges in 2022. A written recruitment examination was conducted from September 12 to October 3, 2023. The response sheets along with preliminary keys were released later, followed by final keys on April 22, 2024.
Following issuance of the final key, the TGPSC picked up candidates in the ratio of 1:2 for general and 1:5 for PWD category for verification of certificates, which was conducted from August 5 to September 11. The Commission has also released a provisional selection list for various subject junior lecturer posts after certificate verification.
“The recruitment process is almost completed. The government asked to make arrangements to issue appointment orders on November 8,” official sources said. A total of 5,395 junior lecturer posts were sanctioned and currently 3,671 lecturers have been working.
In the past, the BRS government, which assured to regularise contract lecturers, regularised 3,093 lecturers including junior lecturers and 184 vocational lecturers.
