Government teacher booked for misbehaving with student in Basar
A government teacher, Murtuza Ali, has been booked under the POCSO Act for allegedly misbehaving with a girl student in Basar mandal, Mancherial. Education department officials have begun a probe, with action to follow based on their report

Mancherial: A government teacher was booked on charges of misbehaving with a girl student in Basar mandal centre on Friday. Police said a case was registered against Murtuza Ali under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act after he was alleged to have inappropriately touched a girl, based on a complaint received from her parents. Ali works with an Urdu medium government school in Basar.
The incident occurred a week back. However, it came to light when the parents and relatives expressed anger against the teacher on Thursday. The parents alleged that Ali was causing inconvenience to the students by misbehaving with them at regular intervals. They requested the Education officials to take stringent action against him. Meanwhile, Education department officials began a probe into the allegations leveled against the teacher. They said action would be initiated against him based on a report to be filed by the officials.
