Hyderabad: BJP State president Bandi Sanjay on Monday alleged that the State government’s failure led to the Election Commission’s order deferring the implementation of Dalit Bandhu scheme in Huzurabad constituency.

“Owning responsibility for his failure in the implementation of the scheme and betrayal of Dalits, Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao should resign immediately,” demanded Bandi Sanjay.

In the wake of the EC’s order deferring Dalit Bandhu till the completion of the by-election in Huzarabad on October 30.

The BJP has been demanding the State government facilitate beneficiaries withdraw the Dalit Bandhu amount from their accounts without imposing any conditions on them, he said and alleged that government officials were deliberately holding up the release of funds under the scheme.

“It is actually Chandrashekhar Rao’s conspiracy since not a single rupee has been deposited into the beneficiaries’ accounts so far,” alleged Sanjay without explaining the release of Rs 2,000 crore for implementation of the scheme in Huzurabad. “Dalits in Huzurabad will teach a lesson to the Chief Minister for betraying them,” he said.
